More work on this, including a lines makeover for the sketchy parts and a little more refinement on colors, details, and contrast. It’s closer to what I want.

The skull of a young Neanderthal boy, found at Atapuerca, Sima de los Huesos. Drawn from a cast of a fossil.
I recently had the pleasure of providing a diagram of a fossil for Rutger Jansma’s thesis about the oreopithecus and how you can tell the highlighted part is a nasal bone.
This is the kind of work I want every day!
